Bhubaneswar: Veteran leader and former Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar following health complications.
The ex-Governor is now at a Bhubaneswar hospital and efforts are underway to shift him to Hyderabad for advanced treatment, according to his son Prithviraj Harichandan, who is Law and Excise Minister in Odisha.
The veteran leader’s condition is being closely monitored by a team of doctors, and arrangements are being made for his transfer to a specialised medical facility.
Harichandan, a senior BJP leader and former Odisha minister, served as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh from 2019 to 2023. Known for his long-standing contributions to politics and public service, his health condition has raised concerns among his well-wishers.
Notably, the veteran leader had earlier been admitted to a private hospital in the state capital in September last year following certain health complications.
