Mumbai: Veteran playback singer Bhupinder Singh died on Monday due to suspected colon cancer and COVID-related complications at a Mumbai hospital, his wife and singer Mitali Mukherjee said. He was 82.
“He was admitted to hospital eight to ten days ago as he had some infection in the urine. After tests were performed, he tested positive for COVID. He passed away at around 7.45 pm due to suspected colon cancer and COVID,” Mitali told PTI.
Some of his popular songs are Dil Dhoondta Hai, Naam Gum Jaayega, Ek Akela Is Shaher Mein, Kisi Nazar Ko Tera Intezar Aaj Bhi Hai and Duniya Chhute Yaar Na Chhute among others.
