Cuttack: Poet Dr Rajendra Kishore Panda will receive the prestigious Sarala Samman for 2020.
Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will give the award to Panda at the 40th anniversary of Sarala Sahitya Sansad at Sarala Bhavan in Cuttack on April 2.
He will be conferred with Rs 1,05,000 cash prize, and citation on the occasion, informed Sansad founder and president Dr Prabhakar Swain.
Notably, Panda had earlier received the Kendra Sahitya Akademi award and other prestigious awards.
A retired IAS officer, Panda has published several books including Gounadebata, Satadru Aneka, Shailakalpa, Bahubrihi, Chidabhasa, Anya and Isa Khela among others.
He was born on June 24, 1944 in Jharsuguda district.
