New Delhi: From being a ‘rumoured wedding’, actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal are actually getting married in a three-day extravagant wedding kickstarting on Tuesday at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Chauth Ka Barwara town of Sawai Madhopur.
The actors were spotted on Monday night leaving for Rajasthan from the Kalina airport in Mumbai. The bride-to-be chose a yellow anarkali and looked radiant as she waved at the photographers stationed outside her house. Vicky, on the other hand, dressed in a printed shirt and brown trousers also smiled broadly at the photographers before stepping inside the airport.
Rumours of Vicky and Katrina dating have been doing the rounds for over a year, but the two never went public with their relationship.
As per a PTI report, the wedding festivities starting with sangeet, mehndi followed by the marriage ceremony — will be held from December 7 to 9. The wedding is going to be a private, intimate affair with only immediate family and close friends in attendance. It’s been said that Katrina and Vicky will be hosting a reception for colleagues in Mumbai soon.
Close friends and colleagues of the couple arrived in Jaipur on Tuesday morning.
Noted playback singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan were also spotted arriving at Jaipur earlier on Tuesday
The guests received a gift basket with the wedding invitation card that read: “You are finally here. We hope you enjoy the road trip from Jaipur to Ranthambore. Please enjoy the refreshments that we have put together, while you journey through scenic villages and roads,” Pinkvilla reported.
The letter further read, “Sit back, relax, and brace yourselves for a fun-filled exciting adventure!”
However, what was noticeable in the letter was a ‘WARNING’ note for the guests. The warning was about not to carry their mobile phones along to the venue.
“We request you to please leave your mobile phones in your respective rooms and refrain from posting pictures or using social media for any of the ceremonies and events.”
“We can’t wait to see you! Regards Shaadi Squad” The letter ended.
