Bhubaneswar: Barely hours after Sambalpur SP sought a detailed report on the video of three Ollywood actresses hanging out with Health Minister Naba Kishore Das’ daughter in the prohibited area of Hirakud dam, Elina Samantaray and Prakruti Mishra on Monday expressed regret over the incident.
“We had gone to the prohibited area of the dam after taking permission from the security personnel. I was not aware of the restrictions on taking photo and video of this place. I sincerely apologize for the mistake and it won’t happen again,” Prakruti told the media.
Admitting that it was a mistake, Elina said she had not done anything wrong. “I neither shot the video nor uploaded it on my social media page. My only mistake was that I was not aware that the video had captured me. I will cooperate with the police in their probe,” she added.
Prakruti had uploaded the video as her Instagram story, which later went viral and created a furore.
Another Ollywood actress Lovina Nayak, who was also present at the spot, was not available for comment.
Asked about the controversy involving his daughter Deepali, who was also with the three actresses, Naba said he was not aware of the incident.
“Neither I have any knowledge about the incident nor have I seen the video. Kindly ask those who had done this video. My daughter is an adult. Law will take its own course and action will be taken against those found guilty,” he added.
After coming to know about the incident, Sambalpur SP Kanwar Vishal Singh had asked the Hirakud SDPO to probe into the incident and submit a detailed report by 5 pm this evening.
