Apparently, Anita had interacted with Vidya’s team via Instagram and WhatsApp. The actor liked the idea after seeing a sample and expressed her desire to wear it on the day before the release.
Vidya had shared a video of her wearing the saree and praised its weaver. After she returned the saree, many people showed interest in buying the saree which led to the co-founders deciding to auction it.
The Sambalpuri ikat weaver Bhagabata Meher from Tikiripada village has reportedly expressed immense gratitude towards the actor for appreciating his hand-woven exclusive piece. He had weaved this ‘Mathematical Equation’ saree for the 2016 Odisha Handicrafts Award.
