Bhubaneswar: Chief secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra on Monday dedicated the Vigilance Academy Auditorium in the city in the name of former director of State Vigilance late Dr Debashis Panigrahi.
On the occasion, late Dr Panigrahi was also felicitated for his outstanding works during his career as IPS officer. Dr Panigrahi’s wife received the felicitation at the ceremony in the Vigilance Academy here.
Director General of Police Abhay, Vigilance Director YK Jethwa and senior officials of the Vigilance were present on the occasion.
Dr Panigrahi had died of COVID at a hospital in Kolkata on June 18. Besides being an able administrator, he was also a prolific writer.
