Nuapada: Vigilance officials have apprehended a data entry operator in a state government office for taking bribe in Odisha’s Nuapada district.
On a complaint that Bholamaheswar Dandasena, data entry operator in the office of Khariar tehsildar in the district was demanding Rs 30,000 for processing applications for issuing residential certificates in favour of 15 persons including the complainant and his family members, the Vigilance set up a trap.
As per the plan, the complainant went to give the bribe and the Vigilance sleuths caught him red-handed while accepting it. They recovered the entire amount from his possession of seized it.
Koraput Vigilance has registered a case under PC Amendment Act, 2018 in this connection and launched further investigation against Dandasena.
