Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday arrested an assistant sub-inspector (ASI) of police on charges of accepting bribe.
The accused identified as Kishore Bagh, posted at Sadar police station, was arrested from Sambalpur.
According to vigilance sources, Bagh had demanded Rs 10,000 bribe from one Gurudeb Bhue for releasing his vehicle that was seized by the cops.
On receiving a complaint in this regard, a team of the anti-corruption officials laid a trap and caught the accused red-handed inside the police station premises while accepting the bribe from Bhue, the sources added.
