Cuttack: A Special Vigilance Court on Monday ordered confiscation of former excise superintendent Hrudayananda Nayak’s assets and properties worth over Rs 25 lakh.
The move came after vigilance department found that Nayak has amassed assets and properties disproportionate to his known sources of income and registered a case against him.
In another incident, the vigilance sleuths arrested Kalahandi tehsil clerk Ashok Kumar Kanungo after he was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting Rs 2,000 bride for issuing land patta.
