Sambalpur: The raids on the properties of a headmaster in Bargarh district on Wednesday found him in possession of assets worth more than Rs 4 crore.
On the allegation of acquisition of assets disproportionate to the known sources of income by Pramod Kumar Panigrahi, headmaster of Panchayat High School, Ganthiapali, the officials of Vigilance, Sambalpur Division conducted the simultaneous raids at different places.
The raids were conducted on Panigrahi’s properties in Barpali and Bijepur of Bargarh district and Dunguripali in Sonepur district.
In course of search and inventory, Panigrahi was found in possession of assets worth Rs.4,26,44,396 including a triple-storey building, two double-storey buildings, one single-storey building, 12 plots, a four-wheeler, a tractor, 2 two-wheelers, deposits in different banks, investment in various insurance policies, gold ornaments, Rs 19 lakh in cash and household articles, according to a release of the office of the director, Vigilance, Odisha.
