Bhubaneswar: An assistant executive engineer in the city was found to be in possession of properties amounting to over Rs 6.5 crore during raids by Vigilance officials on Tuesday.
The Vigilance sleuths conducted simultaneous raids on the properties of assistant executive engineer, GPH Division-II, Bhubaneswar Rabindra Nath Pradhan at 6 places. Pradhan’s two-storey building at Nayapalli in Bhubaneswar, apartment at Balianta, house at native place in Berhampur, office of an associate in Balianta and office in Bhubaneswar were raided.
During the search, Pradhan was found to be in possession of 48 one-bedroom flats, two double-storey buildings, 8 plots of land, two four-wheelers, deposits in different banks, investment in insurance policies, silver and gold ornaments and cash. The value of the properties was estimated at Rs 6,53,86.710.
There are three companies in the name of Pradhan’s son as director.
