Bhawanipatna: The Vigilance sleuths led by the SP of Jeypore Division conducted simultaneous raids on the house of former BJD MLA from Bhawanipatna, pAnam Naik, on Friday morning on the allegation of amassing properties disproportionate to his known sources of income.
As informed by the Vigilance DSP Satyaban Mahananda, Naik’s residence at Naktiguda in Bhawanipatna and his hotel at Madanpur-Rampur town are being searched.
Naik was elected as MLA from Bhawanipatna on BJD ticket in the Assembly election in 2014.
