Bhawanipatna: Vigilance sleuths on Monday jointly raided the houses of Junagarh forest range officer, Laxman Sabar, for allegedly amassing disproportionate assets.
His parental house at Ladugaon, in-laws’ house at Tungaon village and forest office at Junagarh were searched by Kalahandi, Rayagada and Malkangiri vigilance officials.
Vigilance DSP, Kalahandi, Satyaban Mahanand said a Bolero, three bikes, land amounting Rs 4.35 lakh, bank deposit of Rs 1.37 lakh and construction of a temple in the premises was found. He said assets worth more than Rs 1 crore were found but the exact figure can be determined after the search gets over.
