Bargarh: The Vigilance on Wednesday raided the properties of the headmaster of a Government school in Bargarh district for allegedly possessing property disproportionate to his known sources of income.
As per a release, separate teams of Sambalpur division Vigilance conducted simultaneous raids at five places associated with Pramod Kumar Panigrahi, Headmaster of Ganthiapali Panchayat High School in the district.
In Bargarh district, the Vigilance officials searched his house of at Tileimal, a single-storey building in Barpali and office in Ganthiapali. A triple-storey building at Dunguripali in Sonepur district and a new house at Agalpur in Balangir district.
The search warrants were issued by Balangir Vigilance Judge.
The exact amount of disproportionate assets that the Headmaster possessed will be ascertained on completion of the raids, said an official.
