Vigilance Raid On Lower Suktel’s Chief Construction Engr; Buildings, Flats & 36 Plots In Bhubaneswar & Puri Detected

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Thursday unearthed two multi-storey buildings in Bhubaneswar, 2 flats in Puri and 34 plots during simultaneous searches at nine places in connection with alleged possession of disproportionate asset by Chief Construction Engineer, Lower Suktel, Balangir, Sunil Kumar Rout.

A Vigilance release further stated that 176 grams of gold, Rs 2.3 lakh in cash, 2 trucks, 2 ‘Benami’ four-wheelers, four two-wheelers have been detected during the raids at nine places in Bhubaneswar (Khurda), Puri, Angul, Cuttack and Balangir districts.

ASSETS UNEARTHED

1) A triple-storey building at Niladri Vihar, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar.

2) A double-storey at Nilakantha Nagar, Nayapali, Bhubaneswar.

3) 2-BHK Flat (ground floor), Block-J, Sikhetra Bhakta Niwas, Dolamandapsahi, Puri.

4) 1-BHK Flat, Krishnadhham Apartment, VIP road, Puri.

5) 34 plots in Bhubaneswar, Puri, Cuttack and Dhenkanal. Details as under;

6) 176 gms gold

7) Rs 2,34,120

8) 2 Trucks, 2 benami four-wheelers (Hyundai Creta & Mahindra Thar) & 4 two-wheelers.

The release said that valuation/assessment of the buildings, flats and plots are being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing. Bank, postal, Insurance and other deposits are also under verification, it added.

SEARCHES CONDUCTED AT 9 PLACES

1. Residential triple-storey building of Rout at Niladrivihar, Bhubaneswar.

2. His double-storey building at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.

3. One flat of Rout at VIP Road,Puri.

4. His another flat at Grand Road, Puri.

5. His paternal house at Gurudijhatia, Cuttack.

6. House of his son at Kishorenagar, Angul.

7. House of his relative at Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar.

8. Residence of Rout at Balangir.

9. Office chamber of Rout at Balangir.
