Balasore: The vigilance sleuths raided the houses and office of Basudevpur irrigation department’s assistant engineer Benudhar Sahu in connection with a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
According to vigilance sources, five teams simultaneously searched five places including Sahu’s office at Basudevpur, parental house at Singala and other houses at Tulangasahi and Mathasahi in the district. During raids, several documents and papers were seized.
The raids were carried out on the basing of a complaint alleging that the assistant engineer had amassed properties disproportionate to his known sources of income, an official said.
