Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance is carrying out simultaneous searches on the properties of a sub-inspector facing allegations of amassing disproportionate wealth.
The searches are being conducted on the properties of Sub-Inspector Samarendra Samal, in-charge, Mahabirod outpost in Dhenkanal district. The searches follow warrants issued by the Special Judge Vigilance, Dhenkanal.
Eight teams are carrying out the searches at two double-storeyed buildings and a farmhouse in Dhenkanal, among others. About 300 gm gold and cash worth Rs 1 lakh have been unearthed so far.
