Bhubaneswar: A data entry operator of Balianta tehsildar office was nabbed by Vigilance sleuths while accepting bribe for doing official work on Thursday.
The data entry operator, Dhaneswar Sahoo, had demanded Rs 1.2 lakh from Kailash Rath of Shastrinagar under Kharavelanagar police station in Bhubaneswar for the latter’s official work. Sahoo demanded the amount stating that he will pay it to Tehsildar Rashmi Rekha Pradhan.
Rath informed the Vigilance department and as per the latter’s plan, the former went to pay the demanded amount. The Vigilance sleuths nabbed Sahoo while accepting bribe money.
Search of the houses of Sahoo and Tehsildar Pradhan was going on in this connection till the report was filed.
