Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Sunday caught revenue inspector Subrat Kumar Mallick in Chandbali of Bhadrak district taking bribe red-handed.
On the complaint of one Kishore Kumar Panda that Mallick was demanding Rs 3,000 to process his file of legal heir certificate after the death of his mother, the Vigilance officials laid a trap and nabbed the revenue inspector while accepting the bribe money.
A case has been registered and Mallick’s office chamber and house were being searched.
