Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Saturday raided Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) strong room in-charge Surya Narayan Mohanty’s residence near Forest Park here in a disproportionate assets (DA) case.
Simultaneous raids were also carried out at five other places, including Mohanty’s two other houses located at Samantarapur and Jyotsna Garden Apartment.
“Basing on the allegation that Mohanty had amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income, his relatives’ houses at different locations in the state capital were also searched,” an official said.
In Berhampur, CBI officers arrested Ashok Kumar Sahu, an overseer at the office of the superintendent of posts, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the branch postmaster Chinmaya Patra.
