Balangir: Gold biscuits and Rs 16.32 lakh in cash were recovered from WESCO junior accountant Bibhuti Shankar Bindhani’s residence by the Odisha Vigilance sleuths here on Wednesday.
Bindhani is accused of procuring assets disproportionate to his known source of income. Acting on a tipoff, the vigilance sleuths carried out searches at his residence at Circuit House and office at Palace Lane here.
Following raids by the anti-corruption agency, the officers recovered Rs 16.32 lakh in cash, gold ornaments and gold biscuits. The raids were underway till last reports came in.
