Bhawanipatna: Vigilance sleuths on Saturday conducted raids on the residence of divisional forest officer (DFO), Bhawanipatna north division, Lalitendu Jena for amassing assets and properties disproportionate to
his known sources of income.
Simultaneous raids were carried out at five places in Bhawanipatna, Cuttack and Gajapati Nagar in Bhubaneswar and assets to the tune of Rs 2.30 crore detected.
Raids were also carried out on the houses and office of Balangir civil supplies officer Ranjan Seth at Balangir, Baripada, Bhubaneswar and Bargarh in connection with a disproportionate assets case. Important documents were seized and properties worth over Rs 140 lakh detected during the raids.
