Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cyber Crime police arrested a person against whom actor Vijay Deverakonda’s team filed a complaint for spreading false information on his YouTube channel.
An FIR was registered against the YouTuber from Anantapur, who spread rumours about the ‘Liger’ actor and a female artist on his channel CinePolis, Hindustan Times reported.
Police action ensured that the video with offensive content, posted a few days ago, was deleted from YouTube.
“Preventive measures are being taken to avoid such incidents in the future. Vijay is used to rumour-mongering but sometimes, people cross the line. He wants to set an example, especially when a third party’s name is also dragged in unfairly because it’s not okay,” Deverakonda’s team said.
A few weeks ago, Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s vacation photos suddenly popped up at the Hi Nanna event, catching the audience by surprise.
A video revealed that the photos suddenly popped up on the big screen and everyone was stunned. The host, Anchor Suma, appeared to be unaware of the photos while Mrunal was embarrassed by the display.
It didn’t go down well with fans of the rumoured couple, and Telugu actor Nani apologised to Deverakonda and Rashmika.
Deverakonda, who was last seen in ‘Kushi’ alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is preparing for his next film ‘Family Star’.
