Chennai: Ahead of polls in Tamil Nadu, TVK chief Vijay has announced the candidate list on Sunday. Actor Vijay will contest the election from Perambur and Trichy East seats in Tamil Nadu.
Speaking at an event to announce all 234 candidates for the upcoming polls, Vijay
said the poll battle was only between TVK and Stalin, the DMK alliance. He urged voters to cast their franchise in favour of TVK candidates.
While declaring the candidates, he also mentioned the party’s poll promises.
Poll fight on important seats
In Chepauk, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin will contest. The AIADMK has fielded Aadi Rajaram on the seat. In Kolathur, the AIADMK has fielded Santhana Krishnan, a former Councillor. He will take on Chief Minister MK Stalin.
Earlier, the DMK finalised its seat-sharing with its allies. It had announced that it will contest 164 seats in Tamil Nadu. IAIADMK-BJP had also finalised its seat-sharing arrangement.
