Rourkela: Two miscreants looted Rs 2.65 lakh from a village level worker near Andhari panchayat at Rourkela in Sundargarh district on Sunday.
The looters came on a motorcycle and decamped with the money meant for old age pension. A complaint in this regard has been lodged at Biramitrapur police station.
In another incident, motorcycle-borne miscreants allegedly looted Rs 1. 97 lakh from a panchayat extension officer (PEO) near Kendar Chhak in Koraput district.
Sadar police have started probing the matter, basing a complaint lodged by the victim identified as Ganeswar Kuldeep.
