Nuapada: A man died while his son was critically injured after being attacked by a wild bear inside Bijakhaman forest in Odisha’s Nuapada district.
The incident took place inside the forest near Birunpadar village located under Komna range, sources said. The two were going to a pond located inside the forest for a bath when the bear pounced upon them.
The deceased was identified as Ghanshyam Patel. His son Chaita, who sustained grievous injuries in the attack, has been rescued by locals and sent to Nuapada hospital for treatment.
