Sambalpur: Panic gripped residents of villages surrounding Goelduma jungle within Jamankira forest range in Samablpur district of Odisha following the reported killing of a calf, suspectedly by a tiger.
The incident was reported by one Gravel Ekka of Patabandha village on Friday when he lost a calf in Goelduma jungle. Today morning, a group of villagers spotted the carcass of a calf which was identified as the missing bovine.
The villagers on inspecting the carcass with several injuries claimed that it was attacked and killed by a tiger. The matter was reported to officials of Bamra forest division for further action.
