Cuttack: The sheep killer struck again at Gobindhapada village and Naakata Sahi in Niali of Cuttack district, killing one and injuring nine others. This despite the forest department intensifying night patrolling and forming teams to nab the alleged culprit.
Peeved over the continuing attacks, a group of villagers blocked Niali-Phulnakhara road on Thursday by burning tyres. They demanded compensation to those, whose sheep have been killed in such attacks.
Forest department officials, who suspect the killer to be a wolf or a pack of wolves, said we have identified the animal’s tunnel in Bhanra forest near Niali and it would soon be nabbed.
