Bhubaneswar: Police on Tuesday released the girl who was detained in connection with Unmay Padhi murder case.
The girl, her male friend and Ummay’s brother were picked up by police for questioning in connection with the murder case on Saturday. The girl was earlier seen in the sex video clip along with Unmay, which went viral.
Police have started investigation on basis of the allegation made by Unmay’s family that he was murdered over the sex video that had gone viral. Unmay was arrested last year by Kharvel Nagar police over the obscene video clip.
The post-mortem report of the deceased, whose half-charred body was recovered from Kuakhai riverbed on March 21, hinted at involvement of more people in the murder.
