Viral Video: Car Drives Into Platform No 1 Of Bhubaneswar Rly Station

Bhubaneswar: In a major breach of security, a car entered a platform of the railway station at Bhubaneswar.

A video of the incident that has gone viral in social media shows a sedan entering the platform No 1 through the side gate of the platform, which is used for transport of goods. Though the incident took place in early morning of April 1, the video surfaced on Tuesday.

The car drive into the station in a high speed and its driver applied brake just before the vehicle was going to fall on the train tracks adjacent to the platform. One of the wheels could be seen dangling over the tracks.

The occupants of the sedan could be heard shouting at the driver to switch off the ignition in the video. However, the occupants, who were apparently in an inebriated condition, safely came out of the car. Later, the car was lifted from the spot with the help of a crane.

According to sources, the GRP and RPF have started an investigation into the incident. But the identity of the owner of the car and its occupants has not been confirmed.
