Viral Video: Lady Cop Thrashes Youth Inside Police Station In Odisha’s Keonjhar

Keonjhar: The video of a lady police officer thrashing a youth inside a police station in Keonjhar district has gone viral.

In the video the IIC of Patana police station, Sandhyarani Jena, is seen kicking and beating the youth with a stick in the presence of other cops, who stand as mute spectators.

The youth is identified as Raju Mahant of Talasarua village near Patana.

According to sources, Raju and three others were hauled up to the police station in connection with a land dispute case. The youth was reported tortured prior to being taken to court.

After the video of the incident went viral, Keonjhar SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra directed the Ghatgaon SDPO to probe the matter.

Raju, who is now out on bail, said, “Police took me to the police station and tortured me. I want justice now.”
