New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin will be visiting India soon, Kremlin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced on Tuesday.
“Specific dates of President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India will soon be announced and Russia will begin preparing for it,” Peskov stated.
“I hope we’ll soon work out the precise dates of his visit… Of course, after two visits of Prime Minister Modi to Russia, now we have a visit of the President to India, so we’re looking forward to it,” Peskov added.
Modi, who is serving a record-equalling third term as India’s Prime Minister, has already visited Russia twice this year – in July to attend the 22nd India-Russia annual summit and last month for the 16th BRICS summit.
Like the two nations, Modi and Putin share a cordial personal relation.
