Popularity of video streaming services has had telecom companies bundling them as part of their packages.
Vodafone has rolled out a special offer in which prepaid and postpaid users can subscribe to Amazon Prime at Rs 499 a year. The usual cost is Rs 999 a year. The offer called Youth Offer, however, is valid only for users aged between 18 and 24.
Amazon Prime subscription is already free for Vodafone postpaid users, having plans above Rs 399 a month.
Existing Amazon Prime members cannot avail the offer.
Apart from movies and TV series streaming, Amazon Prime membership lets users get early access to sales, free one day and two-day deliveries, Prime Music, Prime Reading and more.
Competitor Airtel offers free 3-month Netflix subscription to its postpaid users with packages above Rs 499.
