Bhubaneswar: The voter list for the ensuing panchayat polls in Odisha will be completed in two months, said the State Election Commission (SEC) on Friday.
Briefing the media, secretary, State Election Commission Rabindra Sahu said that the district collectors have been asked to submit the final reservation list of the ward members, Samiti members and Sarpanches and Block chairmen on October 26. Besides, the collectors will also submit the final reservation list of the Zilla Parishad members and presidents on October 30.
“After receiving the final reservation list, the SEC will begin the process for finalisation of the voter list and it will try to complete it in two months after which the poll process will begin, “Sahu added.
