Jajpur/Bhadrak: Voters allegedly vandalised electronic voting machines (EVMs) in Jajpur and Bhadrak districts during the fourth phase of elections on Monday.
A voter allegedly damaged an EVM at booth no. 173 in Dharmashala area of Jajpur district. Following the incident, BJD workers staged a dharna in front of the booth demanding immediate arrest of the person.
The polling procedure started an hour late as new EVMs had to be brought.
Another EVM was vandalised by a voter at booth no. 273 in Bhandaripokhari Assembly constituency of Bhadrak district. There was a dispute between BJD and BJP workers at the booth, following which a voter vandalised the EVM.
