Volkswagen on Wednesday launched the face-lift versions of its aging Polo and Vento in India.
The updated styling is inspired from tVW Polo GTI. It also comes with new gunmetal-finish alloy wheels.
The cars now get Volkswagen Connect on the higher trims. This feature cane be used to track trips, driver behaviour and statistic tracking, location sharing and fuel-cost monitoring via a dedicated mobile phone app.
In view of the new safety norms, VW has added safety features such as a seat-belt reminder system, rear parking sensors and a speed alert system as standard. Dual airbags and ABS were already present.
Both the cars come with the same engines – 76 PS 1.0-litre MPI petrol and 90 PS 1.5-litre TDI diesel engine. The Polo GT will also have the same 105 PS 1.2-litre TSI petrol and 110 PS 1.5-litre TDI engines. The new VW Vento continues with same old 105 PS 1.6-litre MPI petrol, 105 PS 1.2-litre TSI petrol and 110PS 1.5-litre TDI diesel engines.
