Bhubaneswar: In order to promote awareness among the voters about its Special Summary Revision of Voters’ List-2025, the office of Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha organised a walkathon and Path Utsav in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.
Chief Electoral Officer RS Gopalan flagged off the walkathon that started from Master Canteen Square in the city. Hundreds of participants holding placards mentioning the revision of voters’ list walked to Exhibition Ground during the walkathon.
Speaking on the occasion, Gopalan said the revision aims at registering all citizens who have attained 18 years. He requested the people, particularly youths, who have not registered their names in the voters’ list, to include their names during the exercise.
The voters’ list revision campaign was also promoted at the Path Utsav held near Capital High School in the city. Quiz competition on the elections and Rangoli competition were organised on the occasion.
Khurda collector Chanchal Rana, Additional Chief Electoral Officers Shatrughna Kar and Mihir Prasad Mohanty, badminton champion Pramod Bhagat and several senior officers were present.
