‘Want To Be Female Salman Khan’, Says Dhanashree Verma Post Her Divorce From Chahal

Mumbai: Choreographer Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce earlier this year had grabbed headlines.

Opening up about her relationship status post-divorce, Dhanashree said during her recent appearance on Ashneer Grover’s ‘Rise and Fall’ she wants to stay away from relationships.

Calling herself the ‘female Salman Khan’, Dhanashree claimed love is not on her priority list anymore.

Sharing a vivid dream with Nayandeep Rakshit and Pawan Singh, she said, “I had a dream where I was in a scene from DDLJ, I was in a field with yellow flowers, I was enjoying the scenery in front of me. Then I woke up and wondered what I was seeing.”

When Nayandeep teased her about meeting her dream partner, Dhanashree replied, “No, I don’t want anyone in my life now. I have been through a lot in my relationship. I’ll be the female Salman Khan of this industry.”

Earlier, addressing the controversy around her divorce, Dhanashree had said, “Everyone has to maintain self-respect, and when you are in a marriage, you need to keep the respect of the other person also intact. I could have also disrespected him. Do you think I don’t have anything to say as a woman? But he was my husband; I respected him even when we were married, and I have to respect the fact that I was married to him.”

Chahal and Dhanashree tied the knot in 2020. However, after four years of marriage, the couple fell out of love. After announcing their separation, Dhanashree was subjected to trolling for being a gold-digger.

Chahal, on the other hand, is reportedly dating content creator RJ Mahvash.
