New Delhi: Going by the response of audience and critics, Kartik Aaryan seems to have delivered a stellar performance in ‘Chandu Champion’.
Kartik has portrayed the character of India’s first Paralympic gold-medallist in freestyle swimming Murlikant Petkar.
Director Kabir Khan has managed to extract the best out of Kartik, who brings out a sportsman’s resilience and determination in his fight against big odds.
Even as Kartik is the centre of attraction, it was his mother Dr Mala Tiwari who hogged the limelight on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they will be appearing with pet dog Katori.
In a promo for the upcoming episode released by Netflix India, Dr Mala reveals that she is seeking a suitable bride for her son.
She said she could even host a small ‘swayamvar’ and expressed her wish for a “doctor daughter-in-law.”
Dr Mala interacted with a few women from the audience, one of whom is a physiotherapist.
“Isko toh physiotherapist lagte rehti hai. (He always needs a physiotherapist),” she quips, amidst laughter all around.

Prior to ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik’s previous release was ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, co-starring Kiara Advani.
He has an untitled project with Karan Johar lined up.
