Most Wanted Criminal Injured In Police Encounter At Cuttack

Cuttack: A wanted criminal was injured in an encounter with police at Badhei Sahi in Gopalpur under Sadar police limits in Cuttack district on Thursday.
The criminal identified as Budhia Nahak.
Following a tip-off regarding the criminal’s presence in the area, the special squad of Commissionerate Police conducted a raid. Sensing trouble, Nahak opened fire at the police team. The cops too retaliated back in which the criminal sustained bullet injury on his leg.
He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
Budhia’s name was on the most-wanted list of Nayagarh police. More than 19 criminal cases are pending against him at different police stations of Nayagarh and Cuttack districts, police sources informed.
