Nuapada: A wanted Maoist cadre surrendered before the police in Odisha’s Nuapada district on Saturday.
The Maoist, identified as Parsuram Majhi, alias Mantu, surrendered before the SP at the district police headquarters. Majhi, who had joined the outlawed CPI-Maoist and was working in the Mainpur-Nuapada division since 2014, carried a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head, Nuapada SP Parmar Smit Parshottamdas told mediapersons.
He said Majhi will be rehabilitated as per the surrender rehabilitation policy of the state government.
