Angul: A ward member of Khamala gram panchayat was killed in a road mishap at Pallahada in Angul on Tuesday morning.
Sources said Jagannath Sethi was returning home when the driver of a speeding truck lost control and ran him over. The driver fled from the spot after the accident.
Residents then blocked the road and demanded the driver’s arrest and compensation for the next of kin of the dead.
