Sambalpur: A warder at the Circle Jail in Odisha’s Sambalpur died under my
sterious circumstances on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Rashmi Ranjan Mishra from Katapali area in Bargarh district.
According to preliminary reports, the warder allegedly sustained injuries after a fall inside a bathroom located within the jail barracks. He was rescued and rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment. However, doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The incident has triggered questions about the exact circumstances that led to the death of the warder. It is yet to be determined as to how and under what circumstances the incident took place.
Police sources said a clear picture about the incident is likely to emerge after the post-mortem report is received.
