Bhubaneswar: Even as police investigation to ascertain the cause of death of Ollywood actor Raimohan Parida is still going on, it is suspected that he was undergoing mental depression.
Speaking to media persons in Bhubaneswar on Monday, Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh said the actor was apparently battling depression. “From preliminary investigation, it appears that the actor was under mental pressure,” he said.
Singh further said the investigation team, led by IIC of Mancheswar police station, is expecting to get some leads from the seized mobile phone of Raimohan. They are also investigating the incident from all possible angles. “We are waiting for post-mortem report for more clarity on the cause of death,” he added.
Police are questioning the late actor’s family members including his wife, two daughters, son-in-law and nephew, neighbours and driver to ascertain whether he committed suicide or there was any foul play.
The actor was found hanging at his residence at Prachi Vihar in the city on June 24.
