Cuttack: Wasim Jaffer, the head coach of Odisha’s Ranji team, has resigned.
This was informed by the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) on Saturday.
Jaffer has accepted a coaching assignment from the Bangladesh Cricket Board for its U-19 team.
According to reports, OCA had several rounds of discussion with Jaffer after he quit before the Cricket Advisory Committee finally accepted his resignation.
Jaffer was appointed as the head coach of Odisha’s Ranji team on July 23, 2021 for a period of two years (the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons).
CAC has recommended R Srikanth, currently the Technical Director of OCA, as the head coach of Odisha’s senior men’s team for 2022-23.
