Jaipur: Panic gripped people, who were seen rushing out of their houses after hearing blast-like sound, as three earthquakes rocked the Pink City of Jaipur in just 30 minutes early on Friday.
According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), first tremor was recorded at around 4.10am. The magnitude of the earthquake was recorded 4.4 on Richter Scale. Second and the third tremors were felt at 4.22am (3.1 magnitude) and 4.25am (3.4 magnitude) respectively.
A large number of people were seen on the roads, especially in Walled City areas including Chandpole Bazaar, Badi Chaupar, Johari Bazaar. Many went to the nearby parks in their colonies. No loss of life or damage was reported in and around Jaipur, according to the control room.
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje tweeted about the earthquakes and hoped that all are safe.

The NCS also recorded an earthquake of 3.5 magnitude on the Richter Scale at Ukhrul in Manipur around 5.01 am. “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 21-07-2023, 05:01:46 IST, Lat: 24.99 & Long: 94.21, Depth: 20 Km ,Location: Ukhrul,Manipur, India,.”
No reports of casualties or damages are known yet.
