[Watch] 3 Policemen On Panchayat Poll Duty Killed In Road Mishap In Odisha’s Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: At least three police personnel were killed and 14 others injured in a road mishap in the district on Friday.

According to sources, around 45 policemen were travelling from Papadahandi to Kosagumuda in a bus allocated for carrying them to be deployed during the third phase polling of panchayat elections.

As the bus arrived Sorispadar under Papadahandi police limits, the driver lost control and the vehicle skidded off the road and turned turtle.

On being informed, the local police rushed to the spot and with the help of the locals, rescued the injured passengers. But, three passengers had already died by the time they reached there.

The injured persons were admitted to the hospital at Papadahandi and Nabarangpur.
