Mumbai: A four-storeyed building collapsed in Mumbai’s Borivali area on Friday afternoon.
Eight fire engines were sent to the spot, as fire brigade personnel and other rescue teams searched the debris to look if anyone was trapped underneath.
No casualty was reported, PTI reported quoting Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials.
A dramatic video went viral, showing the building coming down and being reduced to ashes in a matter of seconds as bystanders watched from the other side of the road.

Fortunately, the Gitanjali building in Saibaba Nagar of Borivali West had been vacated after BMC declared it as a dilapidated structure.
This is not the first instance of building collapse in Mumbai. Earlier this month, part of a five-storeyed building in Dahisar area of Thane collapsed.
In another incident in June, a G+2 shanty collapsed at Bandra West, resulting in the death of a 40-year-old man and leaving 19 others injured.
