New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the nation and announced extension of the COVID-19 lockdown till May 3.
“Harsher measures will be taken till April 20 to stop the spread of coronavirus,” he warned.
However, relaxations can be introduced in select areas if restrictions are strictly followed till April 20, the Prime Minister assured.
To summarize, he asked everyone in the country to adhere to the following:
1) Take proper care of the senior citizens, especially those with underlying health problems.
2) Social distancing should be properly followed. Home-made face covers and masks should be used.
3) Increase immunity by following directions given by Ayush Ministry.
4) Download Aarogya Setu app to help stop spread of the disease.
5) Help poor families wherever possible.
6) Help coworkers, don’t fire people.
7) Respect coronavirus ‘soldiers’ – doctors, nurses, sanitation workers.
